Infineon announced on its official website that Infineon technology has acquired the start-up company industrial analytics in Berlin. Therefore, Infineon will strengthen its artificial intelligence software and service business to conduct predictive analysis related to machinery and industrial equipment.
The announcement said that Infineon would buy 100% of the company's shares, but both sides agreed not to disclose the transaction amount.
Peter Wawer, President of Infineon's industrial power control division, said: "industrial Analytics has outstanding expertise in using artificial intelligence to predict and analyze industrial machinery and equipment. We intend to jointly expand the business of industrial analytics and provide new artificial intelligence solutions to Infineon's industrial customers to strengthen our semiconductor product portfolio."
