Samsung Electronics recently announced that it has started mass production of the PM9E1, an SSD product that adopts PCIe 5.0 technology. This product has large capacity and strong performance and is one of the fastest SSDs on the market currently. The PM9E1 uses Samsung's self-developed 5nm process main control solution and is paired with eighth-generation V-NAND flash memory. Although PCIe 5.0 SSDs generally have high power consumption and heat generation, Samsung claims that the energy efficiency of the PM9E1 is 50% higher than that of the previous-generation product.
