A few months ago, Qualcomm announced the major events and cycles that will be held in the coming year, among which the Qualcomm Snapdragon Summit will be held from November 14th to November 17th.

According to Qualcomm's previous practice, Qualcomm will also launch the Snapdragon 8 Gen2 mobile phone chip at the summit this time. The iterative chip of MediaTek Tianji 9000 will also follow, I don't know if it can replicate the myth of its predecessors.
Due to the serious heating problems of Qualcomm's Snapdragon 888 and Snapdragon 8 chips previously released by Samsung, many manufacturers have launched dual versions of flagship phones, basically equipped with Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chips and MediaTek Tianji 9000 chips. This also allowed Qualcomm to completely hand over the foundry of the chip to TSMC, and released the Snapdragon 8 + processor in advance.
Recently, news about the new products of the Tianji 9 series has also been exposed. According to well-known bloggers, the Tianji 9000 iterative chip is sold in much earlier time than the Tianji 9000, and the first end point product equipped with the Tianji 9000 iterative chip will be released at the end of the year. In terms of performance, the engineering machine equipped with the Tianji 9000 iterative chip outperformed the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. Considering that many models equipped with Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 will also be released at the end of the year, this time Qualcomm and MediaTek can be described as "selling in the flagship core showdown".
However, there was also news that Qualcomm MediaTek's flagship line mid-end line took turns, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 end point was faster than the Tianji 9 series iteration end point, and the Snapdragon 7 series true iteration end point was later than the Tianji 8 series. They all use TSMC technology without exception.
Samsung's recent two generations of craftsmanship have not had a good reputation, and 4nm has quickly been distributed to the Snapdragon 6 series and wearable chips, although there will be Snapdragon 7 Gen1 victims in the future.
At the same time, the blogger also said that the mobile phone chip has reached the 3.4-3.5GHz gear. Next year, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 may have an ultra-high frequency version of "factory ashes", and the GPU scale will be increased on the basis of this year. The Tianji 9 series continues to pile up CPUs. The extreme performance of the GPU of the Android flagship core can already beat that of Apple's regular A series. Of course, the gap between the CPU and the low-frequency energy consumption is still very obvious. It can also be seen that MediaTek and Qualcomm's next-generation flagship chips will get a good performance improvement, but from the overall progress point of view, the progress of the Tianji 9 series iteration is far less than that of the Snapdragon 8 Gen2, that is to say, the model equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen2 will meet us first.
At present, several major manufacturers have begun to test the Snapdragon 8 Gen2, and they are all very satisfied with the test results. According to the existing information, both the Xiaomi 13 series and the Samsung S23 series will be equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen2 chip.
But there is no news about the new models of the Tianji 9 series at the moment, and I don't know if this year will usher in the grand occasion of a double core machine.
